We DO have "three great candidates"

Tue Jan 22, 2008 at 03:55:34 PM PDT

There are many in the blogosphere who are so terrified by the prospect of Hillary Clinton in the White House that they would be willing to write just about anything about her to justify their own sad, childish, irrational fear.

For these people, the illogical justification used to make their judgments about Hillary goes exactly like this:

I must demonize my opponent in order to gloss over, forget, forgive, and spin my own candidate’s flaws, shortcomings, poor policy positions, and cynical choices based on short term political expediency.

None of that sounds remotely reasonable at first.  But faced with the unthinkable idea that someone other than their own perfect, infallible, inspirational, idealistically pure, charismatic, and handsome candidate could actually win the nomination, there is no choice.  Do not try to bend your logic.  For that is impossible.  Instead, simply think, there is no logic.

Treasonous Liberals Call For Impeachment

Mon Dec 19, 2005 at 06:45:29 PM PDT

The President of the United States is spying on you.  So?  September the 11th.  Do you have anything to hide?  What are you really downloading on the Internet?  Why did you check that treasonous liberal book out of the library?  Why did you buy that immoral, lustful present?  As a business owner, how could you sell your services to a person who knew a person, who knew a person, who may have contributed money to an Islamic foundation that may or may not send funds to an organization that may or may not be terrorist related?  How could you?  Thank God the President of the United States authorized the National Security Agency (NSA) to intercept all of your phone calls and Internet activity.  I feel safer.  September the 11th.

White Phosphorous Story Finally In The MSM

Wed Nov 16, 2005 at 05:52:40 AM PDT

Holy crap!  Even if it's only a blip, it looks like the msm is finally responding to the Italian TV program about the use of chemical weapons in Fallujah.

CNN:
U.S. admits using white phosphorous as weapon

and MSNBC:
U.S. denies using phosphorous against civilians

It felt wonderful.  Ohio needs serious change and I feel like we may finally be getting it with Issues 4 and 5.

The Marion Star's Editorial Board is Wrong

Reform Ohio...Please!

The Marion Star printed this trite dismissal of important election reform:
http://www.marionstar.com/...

I responded with complete deconstruction of their argument and a simple common sense rebuttal, but they chose not to print it. I have a few choice words for them but as it would destroy any chance of getting any future LTE's printed I will restrain myself for the betterment of the progressive cause here in Marion County. Just so that it isn't lost for all time in the recycle bin of an anonymous computer in the office of the Marion Star here it is:

This is my first piece on understanding local Ohio government in order to find ways to forward progressive values in rural areas.  See also, keeping snowballs cold and frosty in hell.
