I will never forget that Friday, near Bien Hoa, in the Republic of Viet Nam. It was so hot, about 90 degrees, with humidity that soaked you to the bone.

Joe Lieberman is not an Independent candidate for Senate from Connecticut. Will everybody please stop saying that?

Joe Lieberman is now the candidate for Senate on the Connecticut for Lieberman Party (CFL). He should be recognized as such as he chose it. So let us all use the correct label for Joe - Sen. Joseph Lieberman (CT-CFL). Joe is NOT an indepdendent. Why? Because that name is ALREADY TAKEN in Connecticut!

I live in Connecticut and I actually know Joe Lieberman. I worked with him when he was Attorney General and I actually liked him at that time. But this is not a diary about Joe, rather it is all about Ned Lamont and how I saw Ned's compassion up close and personal.

Whew, I just watched a short film from the Sundance Film Festival Website. Called "HAHAHA AMERICA", directed by Jon Daniel Ligon. It's called a translated harrangue that laughs at our missteps, it really is a wake-up call to the stupid leaders of our country.

The film points out the economic powerhouse that is China today, and it laughs at our pants down oily mistake in the desert of Iraq. The director laughs at the hillbillies who run this country, and, if it were not so sad, points out what is happening right now to our country as a result of this bad leadership. Yes, George, he's talking about YOU!

There is something going on south of the border, and I want to connect the dots . . .

I was at the meeting recently (OK, the other day) and my friend said his son, who serves in the US Army Special Forces, had finished his tour of duty in Afghanistan. I saw all the photos his son took, as well as the videos. He said the tour was mostly boring, with a few moments of terror.

And now - he tells me his son and the entire Spec. Forces Unit has shipped out to Columbia, on the border of Venezuela. OK maybe I shouldn't post this on DKOS, but hey, it's not like its TOP SECRET or anything. I mean, at least 10 people know about this.  OK, he told me not to tell anybody about this, so naturally I had to tell just a few friends here on DKOS.
