Well color me amused.
According to the fine, intellectual popular culture magazine, Radar, our own Markos Moulitsas is the 7th most hated person on the internet. Wow. That's a lot of internet to be hatin' on you, Kos. So what exactly did Kos do to earn the ire of legions of netizens?
According to author Neel Shah, in his article The Internet is for Scorn - Meet the Web's 10 most hated people
Conservatives have never shied from voicing their opinions about the left-leaning Kos—Fox News' Bill O'Reilly once noted that "the site sells hate, as does the KKK and Nazis," but recent events have raised the ire of Kos' liberal base as well. Just last month, supporters of Hillary Clinton called for a de facto strike of DailyKos over what they felt were "unfair writing conditions" (getting abused in the "comment" section of a highly trafficked site by Obama-ites is taxing on both the body and mind!). One blogger's post about "never writing again" unless everyone stopped being so damn spiteful had to be closed after 1,258 commenters piped up in just five and a half hours. Quel scandal!
Ah, but of course! Kos single-handedly caused the strike, locking out millions of would-be commenters and denying them their basic right to voice an opinion in the one and only online venue available to them! Damn you Kos! Damn you straight to heck!
So who are the other nasties with whom our Bad Boy Kos is kicking ass an taking names? None other than Rachael Ray, Tony Kornheiser, David Cross, the cast of Quarterlife, Laurel Touby, David Motari, Julia Allison, John Fitzgerald Page, and Lori Drew. With common household names such as these, you know that our Kos has really reached the big time.
Don't worry Markos. Please don't feel too sad. We've got your back... even if all we're doing is making you even more hated. But we do it because we love.
